Iconic Canadian actress Pamela Anderson will receive the Golden Eye Award at the 20th Zurich Film Festival (ZFF) in recognition of her “versatile career.” Anderson to present her latest feature Gia Coppola the last showgirlat the 2024 Zurich Music Festival, will be awarded on October 4.

“She immerses herself completely in her role, completely subverting Shelley’s inner life with facial expressions and ensuring that we sympathize with her,” said ZFF artistic director Christian Jungen, who called Anderson’s performance in the film “remarkable, perhaps. This is the best work of her career and deserves an Oscar nomination.”

Anderson and director Gia Coppola will attend the last showgirl Addressing the film festival audience after the Golden Eye Awards ceremony.
Other dignitaries to receive awards in Zurich this year include Alicia Vikander, Jude Law and Kate Winslet. Roeg Sutherland, co-head of CAA Media Finance and its International Film Group, will receive the ZFF Game Changer Award for his outstanding achievements and contributions to the film industry.
The 20th Zurich Film Festival will be held from October 3rd to 13th.
