beware! This article contains important spoilers for episode 3 of “The Last Season of America”!
Our last one,,,,, HBO’s The award-winning adaptation of the popular video game series of the same name will continue in the second season of this week. In the next four weeks until May 25, we Beat An episode review will be provided for the new season, delving into what is happening each week, how it reflects the game based on and how the show is made.
The third episode of Season 2, Path, sees Ellie and Dina embark on a new journey after the catastrophic incident of last week’s episode. directed by Peter Hall ((Dare),Depend on Craig Mazin ((Chernobyl), which helped bring a path to the rest of the season The most important episode in the game is also provided.
The “road” began with a montage after Jackson’s catastrophic attack last week with a massive infection, and we saw the body in a makeshift hospital. Tommy (Gabriel Luna) Arriving at the edge of tears, visiting his brother’s body. He leaned over and talked to him, telling Joel “Give me the love Sarah.”
We only have a few minutes and are emotionally devastating.
Then we cut into a chaotic hospital site (Ellie) (Bella RamseyAfter her traumatic experience, she is taking care of her. Before being calmed, she woke up in horror and terrified Joel’s death.
At the initial opening, we saw Jackson rebuilding for a 3 month period. Jesse (Young teeth) and Tommy are working in the process. Meanwhile, an unnamed doctor is checking on Ellie (Ellie)Katherine O’Hara). Their conversation was intense, Ellie Belitt and the distrustful Gail and her approach.
Here, Ellie is sad and angry, the last time she met Joel (Pedro Pascal). Gail advises: “Your last moment doesn’t have the whole time with them defining your time” and then mentions it at a meeting with Joel, as shown in the first episode of the season. In response, Ellie acted like she didn’t know what Joel might be talking about. Pretending she was fine, she left the hospital.

Then we cut into Joel’s home, which was memorialized by the Jackson people. It is overwhelmed by a creepy silence and is very real to life.
Ellie visits her old room and enters Joel’s room and opens a box on the rest of the bed with his watch and gun. They both went to his closet. She curls into one of his jackets and smells them, she cries softly. It’s an incredibly introverted and heartbreaking sequence, and I think I’d be surprised if you’re at least not on the edge of tears (Editor’s note: I’m on the edge of tears, too). The scores are also incredible, thus amplifying the emotional destruction of this moment.
Then, Dina (Isabela Merced) walked in and called Ellie, and she went downstairs. Ellie thanked her for visiting the hospital regularly, and Dina revealed that she had a preemptive apology for her detaining information from Ellie while she was in the hospital. She revealed what she learned last week while being kidnapped by Abby (Kaitlyn Dever) and her friends: They are part of the WLF, a paramilitary group working in Seattle, Washington, and she remembers the names of everyone there that night. Ellie and Dina thought it must be a small group or they would join Fireflies.
Then the two of them meet Tommy, who tends to be bullish and explains the situation to him. Tommy said Joel wouldn’t do it – he would fight to save a living person, but wouldn’t risk the death. Tommy says he didn’t refute this, but he hopes they bring it to Maria (Rutina Wesley) and use the system they have.
Then, we will introduce a mysterious, pseudo-religious cult in Seattle, Washington. There are many of them, they communicate through a series of organized whistles. The father explained the meaning of the whistle to his daughter, and they discussed the prophets of the dead, but they would follow her teachings anyway. They didn’t know where to go, but their prophet guided them. He gave his daughter a hammer to defend herself, and she said she already felt safer, which is a sign. Then, the father and daughter heard a series of panicked whistles and hid in the bushes. The daughter asked the devil if he came to them, but her father said it was a wolf.
Player Our final second part Will recognize this group. However, their introduction in the series is completely different from their introduction in the Olympics, and the sequence is incredible and mysterious.
Meanwhile, Jesse and Ellie are practicing boxing, and it is revealed that Jesse is the latest member of the council. Ellie points out that she hopes to count on him.

The next day, a board meeting was held. First, one discusses raising chickens instead of chickens, but he is shot down because everyone discusses a problem at the meeting: sending 16 people to Washington to avenge Joel. A young woman advocated against it, pointing out that Jackson needed all the help that could be obtained during such an unstable period. Another advocated against it, noting that forgiveness is everything that separates the Jackson people from violence beyond attackers and violence. Seth (Robert John Burke) Fighting the two of them loudly, pointing out that Jackson cannot show weakness or people will continue to attack and undermine their own communities.
Ellie followed up with Seth’s statement and read a prepared speech. She claims to be righteous, not to take revenge, and hopes to be someone the community can rely on, and the way she wants to count on. “Jackson is still here,” she said, adding that a large portion of it was supported by the community. Dina was impressed and the Council voted for it. Ultimately, despite the efforts of Tommy and Jesse, they did not vote.
Then we watched as Gail was having a beer at Jackson. Given the recent incident, Tommy arrives and talks about how busy she has to be. She agreed, but provided Tommy with a free meeting to discuss Ellie. He believes that after Joel’s death, she will eventually go on the same path of violence, and Gail tells him that she thinks Ellie is a liar–she and Joel have been on the same path, “walk side by side from the beginning.”
Meanwhile, Ellie prepares guns and equipment in her room, planning to sneak into Seattle regardless of the parliament’s verdict. Dina arrives and asks Ellie what her plan is. When it is obvious that Ellie has no plans, Dina will ask Ellie to consider practicality like clothing, routes, medical supplies and ammunition. Dina lets Ellie know that if she wants to help, she might ask, Dina will always help, saying, “I love him too.” Merced remains the highlight of the season and an incredible scene partner for Ramsay’s confrontation.
Later that night, the two met with the assistance of Seth, who traded Ellie’s better rifle and gave her a horse. As the two shook hands and made real corrections, Ellie and Dina headed to Seattle.

On the way there, Ellie visits Jackson’s Cemetery and leans against Joel’s grave, which is marked as “beloved brother and father.” She left the coffee beans on his grave and cried. This is a scene where Ramsay performs well, depicting a gentle and quiet destructive feeling that is very realistic and real.
After leaving the grave, we see the two heading to Seattle on a montage – the episode is made of something that doesn’t happen in the game, and soon after Joel’s death, Ellie and Dina arrive in Seattle. While not all contexts have to be necessary, it does help the rhythm of the story feel relentlessly overwhelming and dark, and settle down before things get worse.
Ellie and Dina stop because of the rain, and Dina asks Ellie if their shared kiss (see in episode 1) is good. Ellie was incredibly panicked, and their chemistry was excellent. Ellie said it was 6/10, and Dina was questioned by a lack of generosity and the two went to bed.
The next day, they found traces of the serum of death, including bodies that their daughter and father had seen before. The WLF massacred the entire group.
When they finally arrived in Seattle, the two said there might be more WLF members than expected, but Ellie said it was about to be “much less”.
This episode features a friend of Abby being called on the radio, which causes a brigade to move out. Then we see a literal tank and various other military vehicles moving into central Seattle, including a group of trained and equipped soldiers.
“Road” continues in season 2 Our last one The episode is softer, mainly to calm things down after last week’s huge and incredible peak. It sets the rest of the season, introduces plot clues and character conflicts that will surely be explored in the next four episodes and eventually arrives in Seattle, where the rest of the story will happen. The darkest thing hasn’t arrived yet, and this week is the quiet that is much needed before the storm.
