The second episode of Season 2, titled “Through the valley,” saw disaster come to Jackson, both in a form of a man or a larger insurmountable evil. Tag Mylod ((succession),Depend on Craig Mazin ((Chernobyl), which is one of the show’s best plots to date.
Abby’s Dream and New Mission
The plot begins with a dream sequence, showing Abby (Kaitlyn Dever) Revisit Joel’s hospital (Pedro Pascal) murdered her father (shown in the finale of the first season). Her older version warned her not to enter the room, but she refused to listen and came in. Abby then wakes up in a cabin near Jackson. She saw the town and all her friends were dragged down by something bigger during the day. They weighed their options and thought Jackson was too strong to attack head-on, and probably had trained soldiers given their strategic defense. Abby suggests a plan to kidnap the patrol and use it as a hostage to lure Joel. Owen (Spencer Lord) Write her down and say he is coming up with another plan. Abby goes out to observe, and Owen tells others that he plans to convince Abby to leave without killing Joel.

Patrol preparation and tense dynamics
Then we see Ellie(Bella Ramsey)Jesse wakes up (Young teeth). She was hangover and defensive after the episode last week, especially when Jesse raised rumors that the night was full of energy. She said Dina (Isabela MercedJesse was surprised by the kiss initiated by the ) It was soon revealed that he and her had messed up and the two were about to go out for patrol. Both have interesting dynamics and showcase excellent Plato chemistry with scene partners. As they crossed Jackson, we saw the town preparing for potential tribes. Jesse explains that 30 people were found hidden in the snow, EllieThe story about the stalker scared the council. Ellie announced she wanted to patrol with Joel, and Jesse was shocked by this because their public fell the night before. “We’re better now,” Allie said, and expressed frustration at the frustration of everyone’s interest in their relationship. “I’m me, and Joel’s Joel, nothing will change.” She joked that the two were joking in “Dad’s Oldest Daughter’s Day,” but was shot down when Jesse revealed that Joel had left Dina on patrol.
The two entered the town hall to meet Tommy (Gabriel Luna) speech, begging Jackson’s people to prepare for the worst. Older and young people are going to enter the basement and cellar, while those who can fight will enter the roof. Maria (Rutina Wesley) Let the local town mayor apologize for the gay sex of Ellie and Dina the night before. Ellie expressed her dislike for him, but accepted the sandwich he made for the patrol. Ellie and Jesse leave for patrol. The scene moves to Abby, freezing in the approaching snowstorm when Joel and Dina are spotted on the patrol. A blizzard soon flourished and Jackson residents lost contact with the patrol. Jesse and Ellie were told to hide, so they did this in a first 7-11, now full of cannabis plants. Jesse explains that it formerly belongs to Eugene, the late husband of Joel therapist GailKatherine O’Hara). Eugene is a Vietnam veteran and a firefly, and Jesse learns after an implicit bite from an infection that he has survived so long before he can be “put down” by Joel.

Abby’s mistakes and the infected tribe
Abby began stalking the patrol she found, and she made a series of quick mistakes that cost her a heavy price, fell into the snow, slid onto the cliff’s face, and fell into a group of infected people, falling asleep. They started to wake up and move, so Abby ran for her life. Soon, it was an absolutely huge tribe with hundreds of infections, and even more. She climbed up the wall and was caught between a metal enclosed fence and a group of infected people, including stalkers. This sequence perfectly recreates one of the original challenges of the 2020s Our final second partsurprisingly, it adapts so vividly and faithfully to the screen. Abby is rescued by Joel, who shoots the stalker who is trying to kill her. Dina and Joel Panic argue whether to return to Jackson, and Abby begs them to go to the hotel so that her friends can help them fight the tribe.
Jackson is siege
Tommy checked in with the person in charge of radio communications, who have not received jobs from Joel or Dina. Tommy began to panic. Meanwhile, Ellie discovered a gas mask that fixed the soot and discussed keeping it. She and Jesse learn that Dina and Joel are missing, and the two break up and find them. Meanwhile, a Jackson man opened a pipe and found that spores of the fungus that caused the infection grew inside. Joel and Dina arrive at the cabin and Tommy is warned of the arrival of the tribe. In an incredible siege sequence, the Jackson people use guns, burning barrels and reinforced walls to fight the upcoming tribes. The whole direction is excellent, creating a strong and riveted sequence. Joel saw the fire outside Jackson, but Abby was convinced to step onto the cabin. A Bloater arrives with the Horde, who successfully violates Jackson’s facade. Tommy stood up while others ran away, Jackson people shot at people infected on the roof. This sequence doesn’t appear in the game at all, and it feels like the direct reaction involves the infected action, which is a frequent criticism of the first season. The destruction and destruction of Jackson’s arrival at Jackson is huge. Tommy disperses the hall trying to attack Maria, luring him to the corner. He used the flamethrower to attack the bloater that continued to persist. Just as Bloater was about to kill Tommy, it died from injury. Maria released training to kill infected local dogs, and the battle trend turned into a trend. He was shocked by his experience and was obviously traumatized.

Joel’s last standing in the cabin
Joel and Dina arrive at the cabin and are immediately betrayed by Abby and her team. Abby meets a soldier who is completely different from her initially clumsy appearance, a focused, violent and revenge soldier. Kaitlyn Dever plays the entire sequence brilliantly, and although there is little similarity to her match appearance with Abby, she does show why she is being performed. Joel asks them if they were raiders, and Abby laughs at him, and he soon discovers that they are former fireflies. It doesn’t matter anymore, Abby said, because “they’re all gone.” They let Dina sleep, and Abby said that as long as Joel tells the truth, Dina can survive. She teased him, Joel told the truth–the last time he saw fireflies in a hospital in Salt Lake City. Abby was impressed by his honesty, shot his knees with a shotgun and paralyzed him. Dever dominated the scene with effortless performance. Some of Abby’s friends were hesitant, while others were completely accompanied by what was going on. Abby praised Joel’s resilience and said, “I think you must be,” claiming that he killed 18 soldiers and a doctor. Joel’s hospital kill count seems to be smaller than the murders in the game, but I think it’s a more realistic explanation of what’s going on. Abby reveals her personal connection to the event as Joel’s daughter kills Ellie in cold blood. She spent the last five years in the WLF militia in Seattle, Washington, where she received training as killers and soldiers. She insisted that WLF taught her not to kill those who can’t defend themselves, but Joel didn’t have the same moral boundaries. “Some people agree with things are just fucking mistakes,” she said. She went to find a golf club and Joel yelled at her “Shut up, you’ve done it!” She replied, “You won’t be in a hurry” and started to beat his injured knee with the club, and we heard the tip of the golf club be snatched away by repeated impacts.
Ellie’s desperate rescue attempt
Ellie quickly finds Joel and Dina’s horse, which takes her to the cabin, where she can hear Abby defeating Joel near Death Point. She rushed upstairs, trying to counter and successfully shot a friend of Abby non-fatally, but was quickly beaten and bound. When Joel was beaten and bleeding, she looked at the tears and began to die. She begged him to get up and you watched Joel try to be useless. She begged Abby to stop, but Abby refused. She stabbed Joel into her neck with the broken golf club and he looked directly at Ellie as she cried. It was an incredibly vivid, terrifying and tragic sequence, and the writing alone made me jerk and tears, even five years after I first played the game, the show was based on this show. “I’m going to kill you!” Ellie screamed, as Abby and her friends left for Washington. Ellie climbed onto Joel’s body and lay on him, holding his body as she cried. At this point, I was really crying. It’s an incredible and painful sequence that perfectly adapts to the most controversial scenes in the game. We see Tommy and Maria clean up in Jackson, getting rid of the remaining infections, and as we watch Ellie, Jesse and Dina come home silently, bringing Joel’s body back to Jackson.
