Orpheus from Hades
“Orpheus” (created on Broadway by Reeve Carney) is one half of the tragic love story at the heart of the musical Hadestown. Orpheus, son of the Muses, under the care of Hermes, attempts to complete a song to bring back spring. Before Eurydice was lured into the underworld by Hades, he fell in love with her and traveled to hell to save her. Orpheus is sensitive and sometimes a little forgetful. He was wearing an off-white shirt, gray pants and a brown leather suspender, paired with black boots and a rust-red handkerchief. In the early days of the musical, he still wore an apron.
