“I didn’t have the opportunity to do as much crime as I wanted to do…” said writer Justin Jordan. “Wait, no, I mean I don’t get the chance to write as many crime novels, so it’s great to be able to do a crime novel that’s also a horror novel, which is another one of my favorite genres . And setting the story in my hometown of Appalachia was just the icing on the cruel cake.
“Sad old men, revenge, witchcraft, and Appalachian folk magic—just know I’ll be drawing it all with a smile the whole time,” adds Sheahan, who is very much looking forward to working on the series.
