    David Rubin

    Available in February 2025

Created by visionary storyteller David Rubin (The Cosmic Detective, Beowulf), El Fuego is a psychological, philosophical and geographical odyssey through Earth’s final days. This is the story of one particular resident who must decide how much to sacrifice for the greater good before he can truly find inner peace.

When a giant meteorite hurtles toward Earth, a mass extinction event is about to occur. The famous architect Alexander Yorba was commissioned to design a castle on the moon to ensure human survival, but he was diagnosed with a terminal illness. Trapped in an existential crisis, Alexander begins to question the validity of his success, colludes with the world’s elite, spares only the wealthiest members of society, and grapples with what it means to be a decent human being in a corrupt world.

His spiritual and moral journey will take him from the moon to Madrid, via New York, Helsinki, Amsterdam and Rome, where he will have to confront the past choices of those who have influenced him most in the hope of finding his way. . . Before the end comes.

She wore clay pots on her feet and there was an ashtray next to her desk with a smoking cigarette in it. Dr. McKinney is light-years away from Earth and oversees the terraforming of Venus. Michael is alone, except for his computer to accompany him as he orbits the sun day and night for 272 days. During this time, there was no communication with Mission Control.

As a result of spending too much time in deep space, his circadian rhythm was disrupted and his insomnia reached its peak. The reality he knows is called into question. As Michael strives to fulfill his mission, what he thought he knew will come into conflict with the existential mysteries of the universe: Who am I? Why am I here? Am I alone? Why did this happen to me?

Wherever he goes, he encounters violence and disgust. But will his trip to the big city, which he hopes to fly under the radar, be any different from his previous visits and experiences?

Writer and artist Matt Lesniewski (Faceless Men and Family) brings his unique and visually expressive mind to life in a new edition of his debut graphic novel, nominated for a 2020 Eisner Award.
