The company confirmed that the subtitles were produced in-house but said it did not know how they ended up in early episodes of Japanese audio streaming
media production company Ocean Group Tell ANN that although it produced closed captions based on English Dubbing it is DeathDeathDestructionDestruction Anime (often referred to as “subtitles” by anime fans), the company claims that due to a number of legal, creative and practical reasons, it has no involvement in the use of these subtitles in the Japanese audio version of the anime shown on streaming media. The company said it had “no idea how the English dubs ended up in the Japanese versions of the early episodes,” adding that “in any case, this no longer appears to be an issue.”
ANN can confirm that subtitles for earlier and current episodes now appear to match the timing of the Japanese audio, and (for earlier episodes) now differ from the subtitles first released Crispy roll. Earlier episodes also now have on-screen text translated, which was not the case before.
