Opening card packs is the granddaddy of loot boxes, so we can all relate to the occasional nausea while playing a game Pokémon TCG Pocket. Track all games Multiple currencies It certainly doesn’t help in this regard. Thankfully, there is a slight benefit to using Pack Point Exchange to bypass RNG.

12 Marvel Snap cards that fit into any deck

Pokemon TCG PocketThe exchange system is essentially a crafting mechanism. If you’re like me and are tired of not pulling out specific cards you need, or just want to make your inner child happy by getting a cool Charizard, here’s how to do it. Read below to learn more about how to craft the cards and farm the necessary currency.

    How to make a card

The Pack Point Exchange tab shows the different costs of the Venusaur evolution series.

Using Pack Point Exchange is a simple process and easier to use than you think. If you want to make some cards, go to the booster pack screen and press the small symbol of the partially torn card pack in the lower right corner. This will turn on the Pack Point Exchange overlay.

At the top of the screen you will find the number of Pack Points you currently have, which can also be seen below the symbol you just pressed on the previous screen. Scrolling down will take you to every card available in the three Genetic Apex booster packs. Click on the copy you want and you can exchange points for the copy.

Depending on the rarity of the card, a different number of pack points will be spent. The cards have no proprietary names, but are categorized by Diamond, Star, and Crown cards. Here are the details of each rarity and its pack point cost:

    • One diamond – 35 points. Includes most basic Pokémon and item cards.
    • Two diamonds – 70 pack points. Includes most Stage 1 Pokémon and supporter cards.
    • Triple Diamond – 150 pack points. Includes most stage 2 Pokémon cards.
    • Four Diamonds – 500 pack points. These are pre-Pokémon cards with CGI art.
    • One star – 400 pack points. These are non-pre-Pokémon cards with fully illustrated art.
    • Two stars – 1,250. These are pre-Pokémon with full CGI art and supporter cards with full illustrated art.
    • Three stars – 1,500. These are limited to pre-Pokémon from each booster pack and use unique fully illustrated art.
    • Crown – 2,500. These are limited to the headline former Pokémon from each booster pack, and use their two-star designs and gorgeous gold background art.

    How to farm packing points

The booster pack pull screen shows that 5 pack points have been awarded as well as some Shinedust.

Pack Points are only earned by opening booster packs. Each item will give you five points. This means the best way to get Pack Points is to keep earning Pack Hourglass so you can open more booster packs. Your best options are to complete combat missions or participate in limited-time events.

That’s not to say you’re going to get more points than you know what to do with. You need to open 100 booster packs to redeem the basic Ex card. Interested in a cooler full-art version? You’ll need to open a total of 250 booster packs to exchange for one.

It might be a lot more fun to trade in for some of those lower-end cards you’ve been missing out on. Ralts aside, I was ready to make one of those annoying Mewtwo-Gardevoir decks, but every pull and Wonder Pick failed me. Making this card was a simple process that filled me with joy and now I can derive joy from my opponents.

Of course, ultimately it all comes down to your personal preference. The slim chance of drawing these rare cards is certainly a great reason to make them. Statistically speaking, you probably have a better chance of getting the more common cards over time than a sick all-art Mewtwo.

It doesn’t have the best prices, but Pack Point Exchange is a good option for getting specific cards Pokémon TCG Pocket. You don’t have to rush to use them too early, either. While each expansion uses its own unique pack points, they don’t expire on you. Feel free to stock up on them or use them to fill out your card collection. If you still need more guidance in this tiny but somewhat complex game, we can help with basic knowledge.
