According to the NZXT post, the Flex subscription plan has been available for at least a few months, and the pricing and specs of the listed machines have changed over time. Now, it’s updating its three-tier PC rental approach with new specs for its base player: an entry-level subcomputer that costs $59 a month, a tower running an Intel Core i5 14400F and an Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU. Step up to mid-range players: Two kits with an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X CPU and RTX 4070 Super GPU for $119 per month, top-tier players: Three kits for $169 per month with an Intel Core i7 13700KF and RTX 4070 Ti is excellent.

All three tiers also require a $50 “setup and shipping” fee, which will include a return label if you decide to cancel your subscription.

The NZXT website says subscribers can receive a new or like-new Flex PC in three to five days, delivered monthly, and can cancel at any time for free. If something goes wrong, customers can also get free replacements through 24/7 customer support, and hardware upgrades are guaranteed every two years.

Two years is a long time, and even the cheapest Player: One model will cost you $1,416 to keep the 4060 until 2026 (there should be a free upgrade at some point in that timeline, though). Player: A two-year lease on a three-tier unit with a 4070 Ti Super is $4,056.

You could spend that money to build your own 4090-class desktop that’s better suited for 4K gaming. latitude.

We’ve reached out to NZXT to clarify the full specs of each updated tier (including RAM and storage) and whether there are any incentives for subscribers, such as rent-to-own pricing, if they can purchase a leased Flex computer.
