
Back in 2021, Nickelodeon announced a series based on Max and the Midnight Rider A Lincoln Pierce book series is in the works. Today, it was announced that the animated series will premiere at the end of October.

In Nickelodeon’s new CG animated series, a journey to a faraway kingdom unfolds with fantasy, heart and humor. Max and the Midnight Riderwill debut on television on Wednesday, October 30 at 7:00 PM ET/PT. Nickelodeon today released a trailer, key artwork and voice cast for the original series. Based on the best-selling children’s book by renowned author and cartoonist Lincoln Peirce (Big Nate), the series tells the story of an adventurous 10-year-old girl named Max who embarks on an adventure with her new friends to save the Kingdom of Bijovia from an ominous force.
The first episode, “Welcome to Bijovia,” introduces Max, a medieval girl who dreams of becoming a knight and fighting dragons, but instead must apprentice as a bard with her uncle Badric Roaming in the countryside. After encountering a thief, Max and Uncle Badrick travel to the medieval kingdom of Bijovia, but soon discover that the town is nothing like Uncle Badrick remembers. new episodes Max and the Midnight Rider will continue to launch on Nickelodeon on Wednesdays at 7:00 PM ET/PT. The show will be available to stream globally on Nickelodeon starting October 10th.
The Midnight Knights are a group of misfits, each with their own unique talents, and are backed by the voices of: barrio blue (Star Wars: Discovery) Max is a brave and determined girl, always ready to face any challenge; Melissa Villasenor (saturday night live) as Millie, an eccentric but super-positive girl who brings magical powers to the Midnight Knights; Zeno Robinson (Transformers: Earthspark) as Simon, Milly’s street smart and sometimes sarcastic; and Yan Jialie (Top X) plays Kevyn, a nerdy genius with a photographic memory. Together, the team accomplished almost everything they set their mind to.
With Midnight Rider, Jeremy Rowley (iCarly) voices Uncle Badrick, Max’s lovable yet goofy parent figure and professional troubadour, Gary Anthony Williams (central park) voices Mumbling, a famous retired magician who helps guide the Midnight Riders on their mission, Brian Stepanek (loud house) is the voice of King Gastli, the evil ruler of Bijovia who is willing to do whatever it takes to maintain his throne, and beaufort india (This is a pony) voices Findra, the dark witch who works for King Gastli.
Throughout the series, Max leads the rest of the Order on challenging missions, filled with all-new original songs. When King Gastli steals the throne and unjustly rules the Kingdom of Bijovia, Max must come to the rescue and overthrow his power-hungry enemies. With friends and Uncle Badrick at his side, Max’s brave spirit will never back down, no matter how difficult the task.
