I am happy to announce the formation of akogare records at Bandai Namco Music Live! The word “akogare” means “yearning” or “wishes” in Japanese and has a huge meaning for me. I even used it as an album title during my indie days.
From the time I set foot on the road of music until today, my passion for creation and my yearning for music have not only continued, but also grown day by day. By entrusting these feelings to akogare records, I hope to cultivate a label full of never-before-seen dreams and ambitions, so that my music can reach more people in the future.

Mekakushe’s review of “Kataomoi Magnet”
The human heart is like a magnet, attracting and repelling. Even if they are attracted to each other, problems can arise if two people are too similar. The song depicts such a complex romantic narrative, likening it to the behavior of a magnet.
The challenging approach to sound created with PRIMAGIC brought a high level of excitement to my productions that I had never experienced before, which felt very refreshing. I put all my heart into singing this song. (I’m also excited that this is my first live trumpet recording!)
“Kataomoi Magnet,” which marked the founding of Akogare Records, is a song that feels like a step forward.

This time, I had the pleasure of producing the music video and jacket for mekakushe’s “Kataomoi Magnet”. When I first heard this song, I immediately felt the inherent power of mekakushe’s detailed and nuanced voice. My impression is that, despite the ephemerality of the sound, there is a depth of power at its core. The poignant lyrics set against a marshmallow-sweet melody made my heart sway. It felt dazzling, like the soft sunlight giving way to the sharp gleam of lightning.
To express the softness of the song and the poison-like elements in it, I believe I created something with a slightly different flavor than my usual work. I hope everyone will listen and watch more.
