The full trailer for the upcoming new Hellboy movie has been released, Hellboy: Crooked Man, which teases a dark and creepy Hellboy horror movie. You know what…I kind of like what I see in this one. The trailer was released at Comic-Con this weekend!
Yes, it’s no Guillermo del Toro or Ron Perlman, but this does look like a movie that tells a slimy story full of fun and horror.
The movie is produced by Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance and crank co-director Brian Taylor. Script written by series creator Mike Mignola and Chris Golden.
In the story, adapted from the comic of the same name, Hellboy teams up with a new BPRD agent named Tom Ferrell and finds himself trapped in rural Appalachia in the 1950s.
“There, they discover a small community haunted by witches, led by a local demon with disturbing ties to Hellboy’s past: the Bent Man.” A welcome issue to expand the world of Hellboy.”
Mignola has previously spoken about the film, calling it the most faithful adaptation to date. crooked person Producer Mr. and Mrs. Weldon There have been previous discussions about casting him for the role:
“We went through a long soul-searching to find the right Hellboy, and we knew that Hellboy was going to be a very moody, very dark and creepy movie. There was no sheen, there was nothing like that.
“Jack, look, I’ve worked with other people in our company before, and we came to the same conclusion, that he had this personality that was perfect for that movie.”
Mignola previously said of the director’s dark horror vision for the film: “His intention was to make a horror movie, so that would be good. That would be fun. I read the new draft of the script yesterday, Yes, definitely R.
“This was the first Hellboy script I read and I said, ‘Oh, this is a horror movie,’ and that’s what I wanted. Taylor didn’t have a reputation as a horror movie director.
“But, so far, we’ve had two horror movie directors make a Hellboy movie, but we’ve never made a horror movie. We’ve been saying for years, if you’re going to make a Hellboy movie, make it Make it smaller. And the perfect story for that is my personal favorite, The Crooked Man, which I think is one of the best things I’ve ever written.
“It was beautifully illustrated by Richard Corben, and it was a solid story that didn’t involve a million different characters. In fact, everyone agreed from the beginning, ‘Yeah , we want to do that. ”
“Budget-wise, it’s good because it’s a lower-budget story. It’s not Hellboy’s origin. It’s not Hellboy saving the world. It’s not big. It’s a subtle, dark folk horror story.
This movie also stars Adeline Rudolph (resident Evil), jefferson white (yellowstone park) as Tom Ferrell, Leah McNamara Playing Effie Kolb, Joseph Marcel As Pastor Watts, Hannah Magerson as Cora Fisher, and Martin Bassindale That includes crooked people.
The film is expected to be released later this fall.
