LEGO and Star Wars team up better than Han Solo and Chewbacca, and the combination has produced some of the most popular playsets over the decades. With Comic-Con getting underway this week, LEGO is once again flexing its plastic muscles with an upcoming line of Star Wars sets to satisfy collectors.
You have casual sets designed for quick fun, like the LEGO Droid Builder set, which gives you enough bricks to build the best, cutest robots. the most fashionable You’ve seen aerospace technology, while more complex builds like the LEGO Imperial Star Destroyer look like a great weekend project. We also saw some imaginative sets from LEGO, with the Dark Falcon being the highlight here. What if all the Star Wars heroes decided to turn evil? Then you get this gorgeous version of the Thousand-year-old Falcon, with a jet-black body and ultra-evil minifigures like Darth Jar Jar.
There are also episodes based on recent Star Wars media, such as the Ahsoka Tano miniseries. LEGO has launched a kit that allows you to recreate one of the show’s most pivotal moments, as you can stage Tano and Ezra Bridger against Grand Admiral Thrawn and Morgan Elsbeth in Peridea duel. For fans of the classic Star Wars trilogy, the new Desert Skiff set will be a hit. This recreates the exciting opening battle from Return of the Jedi, and it has pieces for you to build your own Sarlacc Pit.
