It’s official: we’re launching another anime cyberpunk universe.
During Netflix’s Geeked Week, the streamer released a brief trailer confirming that it is working on another anime project with CD Projekt Red. Previously, CDPR said it would be open-minded and willing to do more in the future Cyberpunk: Edgerunner So successful that most people accepted it Cyberpunk 2077 And its redemption story. As CDPR begins “laying the groundwork” for what will eventually become a full-length sequel, they appear to be ready to make that wish a reality in the next few years… and presumably after that The Witcher 4 Just outside the door. Unfortunately, there’s nothing else to say about the new one cyberpunk In the anime, among other things, it will once again be set in Night City, the game’s central location. (It’s not even clear if this will be a show or a movie, la The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf.) Previously, CDPR expressed a desire to retain edge runner As a one-season show and telling different stories, this might dash any hopes of seeing more of Lucy and…well, pretty much just her. As Polygon points out, the trailer also doesn’t mention edge runner Animation studio Trigger, just Netflix Animation will be involved. The streamer’s in-house studio co-produces and develops shows and films (in-house or externally), e.g. blue eyed warrior and Sea beast.
