Another year, another Netflix event to showcase future shows and movies. Last year, the upcoming animated adaptation was grandly announced Devil May Crywe got another trailer during Netflix Geek Week, but with a twist: we now know it’s finally coming out in April 2025.
A new look at the series – via Castlevania Producer Adi Shankar and Animator X-Men 97 Studio Mir – Let’s know more about its purpose, Dante, the protagonist of the series. The Demon Hunter does look and move the same as in the game, but a few things are a little different. In the anime, his voice is power rangers Alumnus Johnny Young Bosch also Plays the co-protagonist of the series, Nero. (Well, he’s Dante’s nephew, as we saw in Devil May Cry 5 Back in 2019.
Fans of the series have pointed out that the series may have borrowed elements from popular Tokyo manga Devil May Cry 3. In it, Dante signs a contract to find a girl named Alice who has been kidnapped by a demon who possesses her childhood doll. The demon is called “The White Rabbit,” and sure enough, the trailer ends with a humanoid white rabbit drinking tea and sitting next to a doll. The manga is divided into three parts (only two were actually released), and aside from this teaser, the anime seems to be its own thing. It’s not entirely clear if this is intended to tie into the game or exist in its own separate setting, but we’ll find out closer Devil May Cry April falls.
