Netflix has canceled Jeff GoldblumGreek Gods Mythology Comedy Series Kaos Just one season later. It’s a weird and wild show, and while Goldblum was great on the show, I’m not surprised it was canceled.
News of the cancellation was originally shared by one of the show’s stars, Aurora Perrineau, in a now-deleted Instagram post. Deadline later confirmed the cancellation, as a second season was in development.
The show revolves around six humans who, while dealing with the corrupt and arrogant gods of Greek mythology, discover a connection to each other and to a long-standing ancient prophecy.
In the story, “Zeus had long enjoyed his status as King of the Gods. Until he woke up and noticed a wrinkle on his forehead. Neurosis began to set in, leading him down a dangerous, paranoid path.
“Zeus was convinced that his fall was coming and began to see signs of it everywhere. Zeus’s once reliable brother, Hades, god of the underworld, was secretly losing control of his reign of darkness.
“There were a lot of dead to deal with, and they were getting restless. HeraJanet McTeer), the Queen of the Gods, who exercises dominion over the Earth and Zeus in her own unique way.
But “her power and freedom are threatened by Zeus’s growing paranoia, and she is forced to take action, when Zeus’s rebellious son Dionysus (Naban Rizwan), loses control and is about to collide with his father in the universe.
“People on Earth long for change, but Poseidon (Cliff Curtis), the god of seas, storms and earthquakes (and horses) is more concerned with the size of his superyacht and the location of his next party. He has no interest in the welfare of mortals…”
The creator of this series is Charlie Covell, author The end of the fucking world and producers Chernobyl. He has a three-season vision for the show, saying last month:
“There’s definitely more to it. I didn’t want to do a completely cliffhanger ending either. I wanted it to be satisfying in its own right as a first season, and always wish there was more. Because I really wanted to do more.
Unfortunately, he won’t get that chance.
Perrineau said in her now-deleted Instagram post: “Well…it hurts. I find it really hard to explain how I feel, but I’m going to try.
“When I started auditioning for this show, I knew it was special, mostly because Charlie Cowell’s script resonated with me in a way that most things don’t. I know all of these people and I love them all. People – every flaw and everything about them.
“For the first time in my life, I found myself really proud. Of course, I’m proud of everyone’s work and how much they cared about this project, because, let me tell you, they left everything on the floor. But I also find myself proud of myself, and that’s something I’ve struggled with.
“When I was chosen, I couldn’t believe someone saw me. A girl who was not only a minority but a survivor in South Australia – you told me that someone thought I could be one of the leads in a show, Am I worthy of having agency, a mission of my own, and being desirable enough to be my lover for not just one, but two? .
“As the journey continued, I began to understand the absolutely amazing talents involved – as if Charlie wasn’t enough. Then I learned about our director Georgi [Banks-Davies] and peace [Mapfumo]. Our incredible cast continues. There are too many to mention, but I must thank these three people who became lifelong friends, family, and lifelines during our few months adrift in Spain: Misia [Butler]Naban [Rizwan] and killian [Scott].
“Our beautiful HMU department, the costume department, Sister, Netflix, our production team and the entire crew – everyone involved is a heavyweight. I’m sitting there wondering what to do? Why? Is it me? The answer I often get is: Why not you?
“Everyone is so smart and unique. Every performance surprises and excites me. I can’t believe I got to do this with all of you. We made some weird, dark,… Something hilarious, crazy and absolutely tragic – something completely human that I intend to take with me.
The series also has stars Janet McTeer As Hera, Naban Rizwan As Dionysus, Cliff Curtis As Poseidon, David Thewlis As Hades, Debbie Mazar As Medusa and Stephen Dillane As Prometheus. Also introduced in the program Suzy Izzard, billie piper, Killian Scott etc.
