When army reinforcements fail, Waller attempts to stop the robots, and Luther flees like a vigilante. He doesn’t care about humans, only himself. For all her faults, Waller does care about the planet. Superman’s own reinforcements appear with the help of Steel, Silver Banshee, Vitality, and more. It’s great to see heroes and villains working together. This reminds me of the ending of the Justice League Unlimited series. In addition, General Lane did show up to help at critical moments. Unfortunately we don’t get to see him and Louis have a meaningful discussion.

You know, we have to know the villain’s backstory, like a lot of superhero shows. However, I enjoyed this retelling of the story about Krypton and Brainiac’s final days. When Supergirl is brainwashed again, we see an even more intense fight between her and Superman. When her friend breaks the brainwashing, her emotions run deep. The final battle scene where Superman and Supergirl join forces is the pinnacle of action. The new suits look great and the dialogue stays true to the characters. Kara and Clark learn how the sun gives them power, and I’m glad to see that.

I would love to see more heroes and villains destroying robots. I also wanted more scenes with Jimmy and Kara to define their relationship. Still, we got to see some cute romantic scenes with Lois and Clark – who were always a couple. When the dust settled, Waller was on the run and the Daily Planet reported the truth. Another aspect I love about this show is how they care about journalistic integrity and reporting the facts. One day Perry will grab the wiki.

Team up steadfastly with our superhero cousins and there won’t be anything they can’t face. Overall, I like this season, and while there may be some mistakes, I give this season a score of 8/10.
