If Arconia could tell a story, it would tell of the murders that occurred in it almost continuously.
After three seasons, Murder in the Building proves that murder and podcasts can make for an interesting premise for a show.
Thanks to an influx of talented actors and actresses, the show always delivers on its promise of laughs, joy, and humanity.
While Murder Season 3 may have come to an end, that doesn’t mean the story is over.
Below, we’ve compiled a list of everything we know about season 4, including whether there will be a return, who might return, and what’s in store for this season.
Will there be a fourth season of Murder in the Building?
Networks are known to make stupid decisions when it comes to renewing shows.
Murder in the Building Season 3 Episode 10 was Hulu’s most-watched season finale of 2023.
Thankfully, Hulu is not stupid, and they renewed Murder in the Building for Season 4 on October 4, right after the Season 3 finale.
Audiences’ positive response to the show and this season almost guarantees renewal. If you’ve read the reviews for Only Murder in the Building, you’ll know how much we love this season too.
What is the plot of Season 4 of “Murder in the Building”?
We’ve got a rough idea of what Murder in the Building season 4 will tackle based on the events of season three and the finale, and the official plot synopsis offers a lot more food for thought.
It’s easy to guess that the trio will investigate the latest murder to haunt Arconia.
Sazz Pataki is an experienced stuntman who has been Charles’ stuntman throughout his Hollywood career.
Unfortunately, an unknown person killed Saz while she was in Charles’ apartment.
The murder will be of great interest to the trio as it happened at Charles’ place and he could be the target.
Saz and Charles look strikingly similar in appearance (hence the double), and it’s possible the killer wanted to kill Charles.
If Charles Hayden-Savage is indeed the intended victim, the season will explore potential suspects that may bring back memories of his days in Los Angeles.
Who had he hurt enough that they wanted to kill him?
Did Jane, the ex-girlfriend who killed him, seek revenge because he started dating another woman and she was convinced they were soul mates?
Is someone aboard the Arkonia tired of the trio’s antics and wanting to break them up?
When Loretta is about to fall for murder, Oliver makes a huge gesture to her.
How will their relationship develop given the opening night events and their ages? Will Oliver decide to focus on his relationship and leave the trio?
Throughout season three, Mabel struggled with a sense of lack of purpose as she turned thirty and had no friends, a career, or a solid romantic relationship.
Will she find a way to make peace with her life, or will she decide to go in another direction and leave the trio?
The show will have a lot to explore. There may also be new cast members joining the cast to shake things up.
Here’s the official synopsis so you can see if we’re on the right track!
Season 4 follows Charles, Oliver and Mabel as they grapple with the shocking events surrounding Charles’ stand-in and friend Saaz Pataky at the end of Season 3.
Asking if Saz or Charles were the intended victims, our trio’s investigation takes them to Los Angeles, where a Hollywood studio is preparing a movie about the One and Only Murder podcast.
As our amateur sleuths fly back to New York, they embark on an even more epic journey – through the building’s courtyard and into the twisted lives of the residents of Aconiatheta.
