Well, that was a little twisty ride on Murder in the Building Season 4 Episode 6! The pieces are still a bit jumbled, but we’re getting closer to solving Saz’s murder.

The siblings’ clever “found footage” documentary might make them seem less suspicious, but given their ties to Dudnov, now’s not the time to write them off from the murders.

Now, we have two murders to unravel, and their connections to the Sith are too important to ignore. Even though they seemed genuinely shocked and upset after learning of Dudnov’s death, something was still not right.

And if that’s not enough, Jane Bellows is back in New York—or maybe she never left! Is she also connected to these murders?

Let’s dig in and uncover all the new twists and revelations.

    Lights, camera, action!

Interestingly, our trio did not have a lawyer review their film contract. You’d think Oliver and Charles would know better!

Instead, signing away their “right to life” meant allowing the siblings to install cameras in all apartments.

Even stranger is how the cameras were installed without their knowledge. You’d think they’d at least get a hint.

Maybe the sisters wanted to capture our trio’s most raw moments to make a more compelling documentary—or maybe there’s something deeper going on.

    A sibling.A sibling.

The big reveal about their relationship with Dudenoff and Vince Fish was absolutely surprising. There are still several reasons for their involvement in the murder plot.

First, Dudnov cryptically said in film class, “Chaos can be good art.” I don’t think this was referring to chaos during filming; It feels more connected to Saz’s murder.

It makes sense if we accept the theory that Saz isn’t really dead and it’s all part of an elaborate movie hoax.

This goes back to what I mentioned in my review of Murder in the Building Season 1 Episode 4 – that the murders were probably good publicity for the movie.

Why else would the camera be hidden? This is very strange. The most logical explanation is that they were using cameras to spy on our trio.

On the other hand, if Saz is really dead and Charles, Oliver, and Mabel are the real targets, with Fish and the Wests involved (which they clearly are), that still doesn’t eliminate the siblings’ suspicions .

Why? Even though Charles’ apartment had that mystery camera, the sisters installed all the other cameras, so who’s to say they didn’t install that camera, or at least allow unknown stalkers to follow and enter everyone’s apartment?

    A sibling.A sibling.
    (Disney/Patrick Habron)

Of course, the problem with this theory is why additional cameras are needed if they already have so many. The fact that the camera is live suggests it has a different purpose, but it still raises questions.

Speaking of cameras, Uma’s saucy comment about the lobby camera installed at Hotel Arconia was hilarious. Easily the highlight of the episode!

Uma: Look at this! Because of you, they put cameras everywhere to prevent us from being murdered. It’s impossible to fart or steal a newspaper without being seen!

The sisters seemed genuinely shocked to learn of Dudnov’s death, but I still don’t believe they were completely innocent.

If someone cashed Dudnov’s Social Security check, who’s to say the sisters wouldn’t pocket some of the money to stay silent, even if they didn’t pull the trigger?

Why do they hold a grudge against our trio?

This brings us to the Western Region.

Girls, shed some blood in my name

Vince Fish is a cunning character. So does Rudy, who takes turns collecting ugly Christmas sweaters.

Remember when Charles and Eugene Levy tried to trick Vince into taking off his blindfold? At first, he ducked into the bathroom to put in eye drops before removing his eye patch to prove he had pink eye.

Now we know Fish is an actor, plus when the trio confronts him about his relationship with his siblings, the eyepatch is on his other eye and he’s clearly using a prosthetic to fake a red eye.

Let’s not forget drones. Vince and Rudy have a camera with a camera that moves the Westies down a few spots on the suspect list and the siblings a few points behind!

I don’t believe their story about how they obtained the drone for a moment. When the trio arrived, they were caught off guard and had to scramble to make excuses. But how do they explain it? It totally smells fishy.

Plus, what better way to keep an eye on our trio when they’re not in the apartment than with a drone?

There was also the window incident. It was completely stuck when Charles and Eugene were there, but Vince and Rudy opened it up effortlessly. Convenient right?

But the biggest red flag was their shocked reaction when Charles mentioned that Dudnov was in New York. This is the kind of reaction you’d expect from someone who thinks the victim is gone forever.

The real question, however, is why they wanted Charles and the others dead.

One theory is that the fish are jealous. Maybe he was bitter that Charles and his buddies had a movie deal while he was a seemingly failed actor.

Maybe when he realized the siblings were involved, he snapped, angry that they made it bigger without him (and maybe even tried to implicate the siblings in the process).

If Dudnov and Saaz were killed around the same time, it could be part of the same conspiracy.

    (Disney/Patrick Habron)

I doubt they’d protect Dudnov’s body in order to continue cashing his Social Security checks – albeit in collaboration with the Soth family, who knows?

They might have a trick or two, especially considering there’s a leg of ham hanging in the bathroom.

Which brings us to Jane Bellows.

    She is back!

Our trio is shocked as sleuths. Williams releases bombshell Jane was discovered in New York. Maybe she never left at all.

Given that she had already tried to kill Charles once, it’s not a stretch to suggest that she might have been involved in the murder plot.

It’s not far-fetched that she would hold a grudge against Oliver and Mabel – after all, they were the ones who helped save Charles and lock her up.

    oliver and howardoliver and howard
    (Disney/Patrick Habron)

Maybe that’s what Szaz is investigating. Was Saz the real target all along?

We don’t have to believe that Jane showed up at Charles’ apartment in Murder in the Building Season 4 Episode 2 to help him solve Saz’s murder.

What if she was the one who installed the camera in their apartment? She knows how to travel through those secret tunnels, so sneaking in and planting them is easy for her.

One more thought: I’m not sure about the exact layout of Charles’ apartment, but did Jane live in the west building?

If so—or even if it wasn’t—what if she was the person Vince crossed out in the photo of him in his apartment? Maybe Vince crossed her out after her capture to sever any connection the Westies had to Jane’s murder.

Why she became involved in Dudnov’s murder is unclear, but there must be some connection.

She could be behind the scenes, using the Westi family to get rid of our trio. Maybe she even cashed Dudnov’s checks to fund her time on the run.

    Mabel investigates.Mabel investigates.
    (Disney/Patrick Habron)

One thing is for sure: Jane is not out of Charles’ life yet. It will be interesting to see how this turns out. She could very well be the shooter, or even the one who sent the threatening text messages to the trio.

If she did install that instant hidden camera, there’s a good chance she was acting alone, manipulating everyone around her in true Jane style.

Speaking of cameras, here’s a twist worth chewing on: Howard’s camera on Gravy. Can you imagine if Howard was somehow involved in all of this?

Gravy’s camera is eerily similar to the live camera the trio found, and if anyone has a grudge against Mabel, it’s Howard. She will definitely be next on the hit list.

Murder in the Building Season 4 Episode 6 is full of twists and turns to keep us on our toes. No other show will keep you guessing like this one!

    The beginning of the end?

Besides the twists and turns in this episode, Oliver spontaneously proposing to Loretta over the phone was a nice surprise!

    Bev was shocked.Bev was shocked.
    (Disney/Patrick Habron)

It’s nice that he realized that if he wanted her in his life, he shouldn’t wait – although nearly getting killed during a photo shoot probably gave him the motivation. It was a bold move that put his heart on the line.

Of course, Loretta couldn’t quite answer him because she was wrapped in gauze from head to toe while filming the scene.

So when Oliver takes her lack of response as rejection, his reaction feels authentic. Still, he handled it much better than expected, although that’s not really an answer by any means.

Will she agree? I have my doubts. She’s juggling so much that Oliver won’t leave New York. Sooner or later, he’ll realize that no matter how much he wants it, it’s not going to work. Long distance relationships are tough.

But Oliver’s proposal showed some serious character growth, and I loved it. It’s clear that he’s starting to understand what’s really important in life.

What do you think, Arkenix? Are we any closer to solving this mystery? What’s your favorite moment in the show? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!
