Rafiki tells the legend of Mufasa to Kira, the lion cub, daughter of Simba and Nala. The story is told in flashback, with Mufasa an orphan, lost and alone, until he meets a compassionate lion named Taka, the heir to the royal bloodline. This chance encounter begins a journey for the misfits as they search for their destiny and work together to evade threatening and deadly foes.
