As the war in Ukraine intensifies, it becomes increasingly difficult for journalists to report the truth. Either the truth is ruthlessly suppressed, or the truth is distorted to the point where truth and falsehood must be screened and analyzed. A journalist named Gareth Jones traveled to the Soviet Union in the 1930s and used eyewitness testimony to report on a man-made famine in Soviet Ukraine that killed millions of Ukrainians.
Jones was later banned from the Soviet Union for his reporting and was murdered two years later. His story and journey to uncover the truth have been described in a graphic novel In the Shadow of Stalin: The Story of Mr. Jones, written in Andrea Chalupa And by Ivan Rodriguezand by They press.
Chalupa wrote and co-produced the 2019 film Mr Jones Jones uncovers the truth about the Great Famine. Mr Jones Won the Golden Lion Award at the 44th Gdynia Film Festival.

The story of Gareth Jones, and the warnings he sets out in his writings and reports, appear to be receiving only temporary attention. Chris CherrySaid the editor-in-chief of Ghost Publishing House.
“We therefore seem destined to repeat history; therefore, we are very pleased to now publish this book in the hope of spreading Gareth Jones’s message further in order to remind humanity of the consequences of turning a blind eye and a deaf ear to the suffering of others.
