Hungry Games Franchise Director Francis Lawrence Currently directing a film based on Stephen King’s novel long roadthis is a grossly exaggerated story.
long road Set in the future, “100 teenage boys compete in an annual competition called the Long Walk. The rules are simple: Keep your speed above four miles per hour. Three warnings within an hour and you’ll be shot.
“The last man walking will get whatever he wants for the rest of his life. In this harsh environment, the boys develop strong friendships, even though they know that each friend’s survival poses a threat to their own.
The story is absolutely brutal, and I always wondered if they would tone it down in the movie, but it sounds like the creative team is giving it their all.
In a recent interview with The King Beat, the film’s screenwriter JT Mollner teased that the film will go hardcore as the creative team works to capture the darker aspects of King’s books.
Molnar said: “The great thing about this movie, Francis, is that it’s a real… I mean, it’s not a low-budget movie, but it’s not the budget that he usually does with The Hunger. As big as a big movie series like “The Game”.
“So this was a real passion project for him. He wanted to do it the right way, in a faithful way. He knew that meant it was going to be a very hardcore, disturbing and somewhat Controversial movie.
“That’s the movie I was interested in writing. Stephen King was also very adamant about Francis making an R-rated movie, a movie that paid homage to the book and was true to the book.
He continued: “We didn’t really pull any punches. Most of the incomprehensible stuff you remember from the book is still there. And there were some updated tweaks to it that I thought were smart… But as a Stephen King fan, I’m Very satisfied with this adaptation.
“I’m really happy with what we did. Even the studio noticed that, and everyone’s feedback, everyone was on the same page, staying true to the brutality and seriousness of the book.
I’m glad to hear that the film’s adaptation will be faithful to the source material, and that the creative team won’t shy away from some brutal content and themes. I’m excited to see how it turns out!
