Hasbro announced in a recent earnings report that Scopely’s hugely popular video game Monopoly Go has brought in more than $3 billion in revenue since its release last April. That’s over 15 million times, folks. A ridiculous amount of money.
This continues a trend of crazy milestones for the mobile game, which previously hit the one billion mark just seven months after launch. What’s interesting about this number is that it not only shows that Monopoly Go has maintained its momentum since launch, but that the revenue it generates is actually increasing over time. One can only wonder if this trend will continue, or if Monopoly Go will disappear soon.
