Michelle Pfeiffer has been officially confirmed to star in Taylor Sheridan’s upcoming Yellowstone spinoff Madison , as well as serve as executive producer.
She has been in talks with others to join the series Patrick J. Adams and Kurt Russellhas not yet been officially confirmed.
The series will be set after the events of yellowstone park The flagship series concludes with its fifth season.
The show is said to “tell the story of wealthy matriarch Stacy Claiborne and her family as they leave New York for Montana after her husband and brother-in-law tragically die in a plane crash.”
The series has also been described as “an honest study of grief and relationships among a New York City family in the Madison Valley of central Montana.”
Chris McCarthy, co-chief executive officer of Paramount Worldwide and president/CEO of Showtime and MTV Entertainment Studios, shared in a statement:
“Michelle Pfeiffer is an extraordinary talent who brings emotional depth, authenticity and grace to every character. She is the perfect anchor for the latest chapter yellowstone park universe, madisonfrom the brilliant mind of Taylor Sheridan.
The full cast is still being finalized, but other CST members may also include Beau Garrett (Good Doctor Firefly Lane). Matthew McConaughey The series was originally filmed with the original cast Kelly Reilly, Cole Hauser and Luke Grimes Reprising their roles as Beth Dutton, Rip Wheeler and Kayce Dutton.
We don’t know if Russell will play the role McConaughey was originally supposed to play, or a new character entirely. We also don’t know if other actors are from yellowstone park will be involved.
The spinoff is scheduled to begin production later this month in Montana, New York and Texas. It is expected to premiere in 2025 after the conclusion of Mothership Season 5B, which premieres on November 10.
