The Sandbox has announced the winners of its 2024 awards recognizing creative and innovative contributions within its Metaverse platform. This year’s event includes 20 categories, making it the largest awards competition to date.
Winners are selected through community voting in categories ranging from mainstream genres like action/adventure to niche areas like cooking simulator experiences.

The Sandbox Awards is an annual event that celebrates creativity, innovation and collaboration within the Metaverse platform. Originally a community-driven initiative called “Sandies,” the awards were modified in 2024 to introduce more formal recognition while retaining a focus on community voting.
Participants submit their projects, which are then evaluated through votes from community members to ensure the winners reflect the preferences of The Sandbox users.
This year’s expanded format includes 20 categories celebrating experiences ranging from action-adventure games to resource management simulators. The awards highlight the global engagement and creativity of The Sandbox ecosystem and recognize the contributions of creators in multiple countries.

The awards attract creators from around the world, with winners from countries including China, Taiwan, Thailand, France and Argentina.
Chinese studio Lululand’s peaceful Winner of Best Action/Adventure Experience, Best Art Direction and Experience of the Year. In the “Best Puzzle Experience” category, Taiwan ERM Laboratory was recognized for the following aspects: Great Pyramid of Giza, Discover the mysteries of an iconic Egyptian monument while Thailand’s Sandja wins in five categories, including Best Shooting Experience (cosmic chaos) and best narrative (The Little Prince and the Magic Whale).
