MetalCore, the popular web3 mecha-based action game, will enter its first public release on September 12th with the launch of Season 1: MetalPunks Rhapsody.
This season marks the transition from a closed beta phase to an open access phase, allowing a wider audience to experience the game.
This season will introduce new content, including a focus on the MetalPunks faction, a new rewards structure, and multiple gameplay enhancements.
What happens in the public beta?
As MetalCore opens to the public, players can look forward to an in-depth exploration of the MetalPunks faction.
This season will offer narrative content that delves into the history and story of MetalPunks, as well as offering new missions and challenges based on this theme.
The open beta will also feature competitive leaderboards where players can participate in a variety of game modes, including PvX, PvP, and missions. In addition, MetalCore has been upgraded to Unreal Engine 5 to enhance the visual quality and performance of the game.
New reward structure
Season 1 introduced a new rewards system, allowing players to earn a total of $30 million in MCG tokens throughout the season.
In addition to this initial pool, an additional $50 million in MCG tokens can be unlocked when the community reaches certain milestones. These milestones will be achieved in phases, with the first goal being 1,000 Bronze players. Once this is achieved, the first 10 million $MCG tokens in the bonus pool will be added to the available rewards.
Each subsequent goal will unlock more of the prize pool, encouraging community participation and providing additional incentives.
Advanced levels and gameplay enhancements
This season also introduces premium tiers – Bronze, Silver and Gold – which players can purchase using in-game currency.
These tiers offer different benefits, including increased in-game points, reduced repair time, and exclusive in-game items. Points players earn during the season can be redeemed for $MCG tokens at the end, providing further rewards based on game performance.
In addition to the advanced levels, several gameplay enhancements have also been introduced. The mission system has been refined and the first-time user experience (FTUE) has been improved to make it easier for new players to get started. New missions, including PvP bounties, have been added to keep content fresh and engaging.
The lobby system has also been upgraded to support new features such as Baron War, where players can engage in 10v10 strategic battles with rival barons. This model emphasizes team strategy and coordination.
Additionally, the game now includes PvE Raids, allowing teams to work together to perform high-stakes missions that require careful planning and execution. Players can also choose to play PvE or PvP mode on designated maps, providing a balanced and flexible gaming experience.
