XSEED Games will release Ys Memoirs: The Vow of Ferghana in 2025
Following its debut on Switch last year, XSEED Games will bring Ys Memoirs: Felgana’s Oath to Switch and PS5 in the West in early 2025. I love “Ys: Felgana’s Oath” so much that I bought the Japanese Switch version and finished it last year. Ys Memoirs: The Vow of Fergana is a remastered version of the game for PSP and PC, featuring higher quality visuals, multiple soundtrack options, Turbo Mode, assist options, new portrait options, new voice acting options, and more . I can’t wait to play the English version next year. I’ll definitely be grabbing the physical version at the end of the trailer above.
“Gundam Breaker 4” open network test will be announced from July 18th to 20th
The open network test for Gundam Breaker 4 will run from July 18 to July 20 on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation. The full game will be released on consoles and PC at the end of August, but I’ll definitely be checking out this beta on Switch and PS5. The new gameplay trailer above looks great. After loving the Japanese version of Gundam Breaker 1 and Gundam Breaker 2 and the English Asian version of Gundam Breaker 3, I’m glad this game has been around the world from day one Officially released on multiple platforms.

Metal Slug Strike Reloaded ($9.99)
I can give you a simple two-step quiz to determine if you like this game. First do you like it? sword and soldierstyle base defense game? Secondly, do you accept a mobile game-like structure? If your answer to both questions is yes, then you can continue playing the game. It’s well made. The big question is “what is it” is its echo used to be, that is to say, it is a very hungry F2P trial game. The IAP has been removed and an attempt has been made to rebalance the game, but there are some stains that just won’t come out no matter how hard you scrub.
I’ll get to the heart of the matter here. This game has a lot of ridiculous difficulty spikes. Unless you have some properly upgraded and equipped rare units of the right type to field, you have no hope of completing these levels. Properly upgrading these units and equipping them requires a lot of grinding, but even obtaining them requires a bit of luck with the game’s gacha system. Unless you’re extremely lucky, you’re going to have to spend a lot of time completing already completed stages over and over again to get the resources you need to make it all happen. If you do get that lucky, you may still need to do some grinding to upgrade these fancy units.
In addition to this recognized major problem, metal slug assault reloaded is a great example of its genre. The elves look great, which is what you’d expect, and there are a ton of different units to collect. The controls are very easy to use, and it’s well located in the area, which has enough functionality to engage you but not require your full attention. If you want to play games while watching TV on your streaming service of choice, this will suit your needs. Sadly, the spikes in difficulty make the game feel like it’s still trying to bring you down, even though there’s no way to do so.
SwitchArcade Rating: 3/5

River Tails: Stronger Together ($19.99)
Fish and cats work together? Excellent, Now I’ve seen it all. I even lost my monocle. Regardless, this is a 3D platformer that can be played by up to two players via local multiplayer. If you prefer, you can also play the game controlling both characters yourself. Either way, you’ll travel through a variety of environments and tackle the challenges found within them. The two characters have to work together to move forward, and you’d rightly assume it’s best to do so with friends. It’s hard either way, but it’s really hard on your own. Not bad though. Not bad at all.

Uku Island Express It’s such a good two dollar deal that I can’t imagine anyone passing it up. Seriously, by the time the deal closes, the game should have sold 140 million copies. Let me count. There are some other goodies in your inbox, so check them out. There’s a lot in the outbox too. I thought, have a drink. filter. Look for those deals.

That’s all for today, friends. Tomorrow is Thursday, so we should have quite a few new games to watch. Beyond that, some sales and maybe some news should be considered. Probably not. But maybe! I have some paperwork to take care of, so I’m going to get started on that now. Hope you all had a great Wednesday, and as always, thank you for reading!
