Metal Hurlant, the French science fiction/fantasy magazine that inspired American heavy metal music, will return as a quarterly magazine, The Wrap reports. According to The Wrap, the revival will include out-of-print and rare material from Möbius, Philippe Drouyer and Jean-Pierre Dionnet, as well as classic stories not previously available in English.
“The vast majority of the material in Metal Hurlant is original, but reprinting archival content like the Möbius short stories allows us to introduce some of the most iconic cartoonists of all time to a new generation,” Giger said. “Our aim is to create a reading experience through gems from Metal Hurlant’s storied history in France, as well as insightful cultural coverage and new, complete stories from contemporary masters.”

• Robert Crumb’s iconic cartoons about Philip K. Dick.
