Marvel fighting games haven’t been available on consoles for a while, although they’ve been popping up in Arcade1Up’s cupboards over the past few years. Each game showcases the magic of ’90s fighting games, and Capcom’s fighting game series features fast-paced action, fantastic pixel art character designs, and rock-solid gameplay designed to free gold from your pocket. If you want to go online, the game will support rollback netcode, casual matches, and ranked play. Great for anyone looking to reawaken thumb muscle memory.
On a slightly different note, The Punisher is an action game in the same vein as Final Fight and Furious Steel, pitting Frank Castle against a horde of cannon fodder and Marvel villains Make a deadly deal. Excluding the Sega Genesis port, The Punisher has skipped several console generations, so it’s nice to finally see it resurrected on modern systems.
