Marvel is going big on smaller formats – tonight ahead of NYCC, they announced the launch Marvel Exclusive Seriesa reader-friendly reprint series of Marvel’s most popular titles.
Like DC’s compact comics, which are popular with retailers and readers, the Premier Collection will be available in a 6-inch x 9-inch format.
The news was announced at a Marvel press conference, where publisher Dan Buckley spoke.
The Premier Collection will launch in February 2025 and include stories from Daredevil, Black Panther, Captain America and the Fantastic Four.
This size is ““It’s designed for anyone who wants the perfect entry point into the Marvel Universe or who wants to understand the clearest, most iconic stories behind Marvel’s most beloved characters,” Marvel said in a press release. is this ultra-portable and highly readable format. The stories selected are truly some of the most compelling in Marvel’s long history and are designed to attract new readers.
“We’ve all heard those age-old questions: ‘Where do I start? What’s the one run you can’t miss? What should I read before or after the next big movie or TV show for the best experience?’ The Marvel Premier Collection program is our answer to these questions. Dan Buckley in a statement. “Comics are at the core of everything we do at Marvel, so this collection will be the go-to publishing series for any fan who wants to get into or further into the Marvel Universe. Of course, these games won’t be the only starting point, but they will be one of them best”.
The four launch games include:
- Daredevil: Rebirththe definitive collection of Daredevil to serve as the perfect companion to the story, to read ahead of the new Daredevil show coming soon! Written by Frank Miller and drawn by David Mazzucchelli.
- Black Panther: The Nation Under Our Feetthe complete saga collected in one paperback for the first time! Written by Ta-Nehisi Coates and drawn by Brian Stefflitz and Chris Sprouse.
- Captain America: Winter Soldiera collection of one of the most influential stories that shaped the Marvel Universe! Written by Ed Brubaker and drawn by Steve Epting.
- Fantastic Four: The Solutioncollecting for the first time an all-new, streamlined version of the groundbreaking Fantastic Four, curated by author Jonathan Hickman himself! Written by Hickman and drawn by Dale Eaglesham, Neal Edwards and Steve Epting.
