Maplestory Universe launches Henesys Chain, a new layer 1 blockchain network built on Avalanche and powered by Avacloud, providing a technical foundation for the expansion of Maplestory Universe into Web3 games.

The Henesys chain aims to simplify players’ blockchain interactions, introducing features such as airless transactions and licensed NFT systems.

Developers will also access new tools that allow them to create DAPS bound to the Maplestory Universe ecosystem.

Henesys Chain is a custom layer 1 blockchain created specifically for the Maplestory Universe, developed through Avacloud using Avalanche’s technology. The chain is named after Henesys, a starting village familiar to many Maplestory players, designed to reflect the original game’s focus on community, exploration and player-driven narratives.

The network focuses on scalability, accessibility and transparency with key features, including airless transactions, allowing NFTs to be cast to maintain project scarcity, and integration with Chainlink’s verifiable random features (VRF) to support fair game mechanics.

• Trading without air: Players can complete blockchain transactions without paying gas fees or managing complex wallet interactions. This is achieved through meta-AC technology provided by Bloxy and approved controller systems, eliminating common barriers to new users.
• Preserve and enhance project value: This chain uses permissions model, and only authorized smart contracts can be used in NFT units in the game.
