Greetings from Maglev! Described as “mad max meet snowpiercerIt’s a dystopian story where a highway keeps the country moving, but at a cost. With natural gas non-existent, the country’s businesses banded together to create the Maglev, a solar-powered highway using magnetic rails. However, maglev trains can only be used by wealthy people and hijackers.
The summary is as follows:
Chris Miles is a member of the Highwaymen, a privatized police force that patrols and protects maglev trains, on what is supposed to be her last mission. All she has to do is take care of the son of maglev founder Victor Hines and carry out a “humanitarian” mission across this legendary road. Everything seems to be going well, but when Miles refuses to follow their rules, she finds herself locked up for a crime she didn’t commit. Now she must find a way to escape one of the world’s most advanced super-prisons and return across the country aboard the dangerous maglev train she is sworn to protect. Revenge for a good deed is a powerful motivator.
