It’s no secret: I’m StarCraft Franchise food replicator. Given concerns about crew downtime Star Wars: Lower Decksa series that probably gives us a closer look at the meals the crew eats than any series before it.
So when the opportunity comes to talk to a star lower deck Before the season five premiere, I asked Tawny Newsom (Beckett Marriner), Jack Quaid (Bradward Boimler), Noel Wells (Dewana Tandy) and Eugene Cordero (Samanson Rutherford) What would they order from the food replicator. Read on to find out how they responded, and don’t forget about the first two episodes lower deck Season 5 is now streaming on Paramount+!
This interview has been edited for clarity and length.
Avery Kaplan: WWhat would you order from a food replicator every time?
Jack Quaid: In one episode, Boimler tries to make Tendy laugh so she stops being a scorpion creature. Boimler ordered a crazy ice cream sundae. I want that, but not so overwhelming. I just want something like that. I think a replicator would make some really delicious ice cream.
Eugene Cordero: Yes, you are a big sundae.
Quaid: I’m a big sundae person. We all know this.
Tawny News: There’s a big gap between who Mariner and I are and what we do, so. I just wanted to say that for the two of us, I wanted it to replicate the perfect bite of nachos. Just like every nacho, it’s all perfectly distributed, with the perfect bite.
Cordero: I mean, the Rutherford and Eugene thing is similar, I just need more protein. Please give me protein. I’ll take it. I have to stay up late and keep working.
news: Brother Rutherford is here. We had just ordered lunch and Eugene said, “Double chicken.”
Cordero: I did, yes. I’m not ashamed. But look at me, I’m ashamed.
Quaid: Double Chicken Cordero.
Noel Wells: I’ve been to Europe once. I went to Italy and had pizza at this place and it was delicious. But when we went the next day, the man wouldn’t let us go again.
news: (pant.)
Wells: I think because we are Americans. But he said, “No more pizza for you.” So I wanted to replicate that because I’ve been thinking about that. I just needed it a second time.
news: What’s his reason?
Cordero: This is what is called a one-off pizza.
Quaid: It was written in Italian.
Wells: I just said, “That’s great,” and he said, “No.” I said, “There’s no one here.” He said, “You can’t come in.”
news: Yes, we need to put it into the replicator.
Noel Wells: I think we took a picture and he said, “They’re going to steal my secret.”
Cordero: Now everyone go eat disposable pizza.
Wells: It was in a small town called Lucignano. It’s a medieval town, just a circle, and it’s a one-person pizzeria.
Quaid: Don’t take pictures of it.
Wells: Do not take pictures or let them know you are American.
Lower Deckers isn’t the first franchise cast member The Beat has asked for an order for its food replicator. Here are some previous answers from other show cast members:
Todd Stashwick, Liam Shaw Star Wars: Picard
Kaplan: Do Titan-A Is there any special formula design for the replicator?
Stashvik: Chicago Deep Dish.
hurry up! I know, I know, I know. “This isn’t pizza.” This is pizza, just pizza in a place where you haven’t experienced the fun and fun of it yet. I grew up…it was injected into me intravenously. I’ve been eating deep dish pizza since I was born.
So of course this schmuck from Chicago packed his replicator with Chicago-style deep dish.
KAPLAN: Are there any special ingredients?
Stashvik: I personally like to eat delicious mushrooms, onions, and sometimes spinach. Yes, or just good old fashioned cheese. Mile high cheese eaten with a fork – yes, that’s pizza!

Kaplan: What would you personally order from a food replicator?
Melissa Navia: Oh my goodness. So, I’ve been asked this question before, and I definitely go for it: empanadas; specifically Colombian empanadas. Because there are different types, but for me, Colombian empanadas reign supreme.
They’re a great treat to have on the go, and I feel like that’s what Erica wants, you know? “I want to eat, but I don’t have time.” You know, because we were engaged with another ship.
