This series is based on franchiseThe first stage musical will be MBS, Kanagawa TV, Saitama TV, Gunma TV, Tochigi TVand Chiba TV November 21st.
The cast of the series includes:
- Miho Watanabe plays Tsubaki Ririka (middle left in the picture above)
- Tomita No. 7 Middle School Playing the role of Takizawa Anzu (middle right)
- Nanami Asai as Yuzuha Yuba (left column, top right; recurring role in the stage musical)
- Ayaka Yasumoto plays Misuzu Wakatsuki (right column, upper left)
- Julia Ann as Yukino Hojo (left column, top left; reprise role from stage musical)
- Yuuna Nakamura plays Toa Kurusu (top right column)
- Mizuki Yamauchi as Hikaru Amakusa (left column, bottom right)
- Rina plays Suzuka Rina (right column, lower left)
- Yura Akari plays Mikasa Maaya (lower left of left column)
- Airi Yamamoto plays Harukaze Sayaka (right column, bottom right)
The play is directed by Keijiro Tsubaki and Hiroshi Totsuka, and the script is written by stage musical director and screenwriter Yuki Kishimoto.
Featuring an all-new story, setting, and characters, the musical centers on students from two legendary schools in Hyogo and Osaka. Osaka’s Takizakura Girls’ College has an idol club whose members are handpicked from their performing arts fields and has successfully built it into a brand. Chunzakuka Girls’ High School in Hyogo Prefecture has a high reputation for college acceptance rates. The daughters of the presidents of the two schools are rivals and lead their respective schools’ school idol departments.
The musical will premiere at the New National Theater in Tokyo in December 2022 and at the Umeda Arts Theater in Osaka in January 2023, with additional performances added at the Japan Youth Center in Tokyo in August 2023 (replaced some actors). The stage musical had further performances earlier this year at the Tokyo Theater Milanza from January 11 to 21, and will run at the Nippon Seinenkan in Tokyo in February 2025 and the Shin-Kabukiza in Osaka in 2025 More gigs.
