I really like the top comics I bought this week on February 26, because frankly, it’s a set of books Becomes strange. You can’t find any superheroes in this week’s crop, but I think many of these books have boundaries on which type of art appears in the weekly direct market comics. books fml, nightand season Don’t fit neatly any established boxes. But they do seem to embrace adventurous visual storytelling, both FML Cheeky page concept, night Magnificent and precise monster violence, or season Colorful veneers on dark and sinister things.

Most importantly, we also have Godzilla this week, stomping around Chicago (if you haven’t heard of it, Godzilla comics are great lately). If you read this column, you know I love this week’s book tradeoff. This is of course what we got here. There’s more to it in each of my favorites below, and the usual set of releases… Enjoy!

Top comics purchased on February 26

    FML #4
    writer: Kelly Sue DeConnick
    artist: David Lopez
    Colorist: Chris Peter
    letter: Clayton Cowles
    Publisher: Dark Horse Comics
“8 Minutes of Murder” buzzed as the city planned a long-term demolition of the structure. To save it, glory and shrewd delve into its history, while our polar bear detective Lydia seeks truth. Meanwhile, Riley turns to mom due to trauma, and the two reconnect through art. The question is a darker turn for the series, but Dad returns from a ridiculous work in Los Angeles, adding a relaxed twist to introduce a mysterious new assistant, Susan, associated with the secrets of the past, Develop the plot.
    Why it’s cool:
The book never seems to say no to a good idea creatively, whether it’s an exciting (or fun) character choice, or a lot (many!) of many (many!) telling visual stories. So every page of this amazing comic about family, Portland, creativity, and lifelike people have romping electrical cracks. In short, this is a great book and we were lucky enough to have it.
    price:
    $4.99

Godzilla vs. America: Godzilla vs. Chicago #1
Creator: Mike Costa, Ryan Browne, Kevin Knipstein, Brian Kolek, Tim Seeley, Heather Breckel, Ezra C. Daniels, and Caroline Cash
    Publisher: IDW Publishing
Join the star-studded crew of Chicago comic creators through four epic stories throughout the Windy City. The L train encountered its worst delay, Godzilla interrupted a major sporting event, while the new Chicago superhero reached the end of the rope.
    Why it’s cool:
Well, first of all, this is a great lineup of superstar creators who are all connected to Chicago. Second, this connection to Chicago does indeed come true in all four stories of the book. These works are very different, but they are unified by two things: 1. Godzilla; and 2. They have a feeling for one of America’s truly great cities – Chicago. As myself, I absolutely love this book, which makes it easy for me to choose the February 26th list.
    price:
    $7.99

    Night #13
    writer: Wyatt Kennedy
    artist: Luigi Formisano
    Colorist: Francesco Segal
    Color Assistance: Gloria Martinelli
    letter: Maria Letizia Mirabella
    Publisher: Image comics
After the events of last season’s violent ending, we turn the clock to the 1970s, rookie chimera agent Tsukumari investigates dangerous magical weirdness and the rise of artifacts, from the chilling coldness of Estonia to the boiling aging of Las Vegas. This journey will have him having a collision course with a vampire girl who will have a ripple effect over decades. We have to go back before we move forward. A dark road is ahead. Welcome to Season 2.
    Why it’s cool:
night It is the high-energy explosion of unlimited monster comics Night #12. Now we get a nearly complete narrative repositioning to start Season 2, return to time and feature different characters. This is a bold choice and absolutely effective. The new phase of this book is a great start.
    price:
    $3.99

    Season #2
    writer: Rick Rebirth
    artist: Paul Azaceta
    Colorist: Matheus Lopes
    letter: Rus Wooton
    Publisher: Image Comics/Giant Generator
New Gaulia and the Season Sisters Town received invitations to Magic Carnival, a world of wonder, dreams come true and imaginations are endless, but they bring only new problems and sinister mystery of spring.
    Why it’s cool:
For the two main creators involved, Remender and Azaceta, it felt like a different kind of book, with a fantasy world and bright artwork that were even more fun to me. When I recommend the first question, I noticed that there is a bright veneer here that seems to be drawn to something dark and terrible – the second issue continues to hint at this. In addition, it illustrates more about the four central characters. Anyway, whatever happens here, it’s great and I’m obsessed with it.
    price:
    $3.99

    Sink #15
    writer: John Les
    artist: Alex Cormack
    letter: Sean Lee
    Publisher: Comix Tribe
Emma Callaghan has developed a passion for making her own burgers since she worked as a waitress at the sleek and stylish restaurant Artisan Burger Company. Her cooking skills have given her a universal attraction at the annual Hamburger Competition and competed with a series of quirky master chefs on the Heady Platform of the Scottish Regional TV show. Can Sindhill weak men overcome odds and wins? And maybe there are more dangers of trophys?
    Why it’s cool:
sink One of my favorite comics, this question sums up an excellent volume 3 (on Kickstarter now if you want to include it in the deal), not only expanding the book’s tough world, but also focusing on some elements Zhong was present from the beginning. This is really great comic storytelling if you don’t read sinkyou should change this. Plus, for someone like me who also watch cooking competitions, this question is a great read.
    price:
    $4.99
