Kitamura will play the role of the warden
OfficialX (original twitter) Considering the live-action adaptation Noda Satoruof golden divine power comics announced saturday Kitamura Kazuki Joining the cast of the live-action series golden divine power -Hokkaido Irezumi Shujin Sodatsu-hen- (golden divine power: Battle of Hokkaido Tattooed Prisoners).
Kitamura plays the role of Inudo, the warden of Abashiri Prison who has a personal grudge against Toshizo Hijikata.
The drama has a total of nine episodes and will be Wow wow October 6 at 10:00 PM JST. The series will feature cast and crew from the comics’ recent live-action films and will continue the film’s story.
Kenji Katagiri, Ken OchiaiYosuke Sato joins the film as director Kubo Shigeaki on directing the series. Similarly, Dewa Yoshiaki Joining the ranks of film composers Yutaka Yamada for this series.
Each episode of the show will have a different theme song artist.
The film was released in Japan on January 19 and topped the Japanese box office in its first weekend. The film sold 356,000 tickets in the first three days of its release, grossing 533,848,690 yen (approximately US$3.62 million).
