Netflix is set to launch a new Barbie series, and one episode will feature a new original song by Grammy-nominated artist Jordin Sparks.
Barbie Mystery: The Great Racetrack is an upcoming animated series that follows Barbie and her friends as they try to solve a horse-related mystery in Europe. The entire adventure is divided into eight 25-minute chapters, filled with diamond-encrusted saddles, Tornado and Pepper horses, and problem-solving.
The series will include new music, such as Sparks’ tune “Glittering.” In episode four, little ones can play along to the song while two characters sneak into a fashion show. The song emphasizes confidence and staying true to yourself. Take it one step at a time, though—the show won’t premiere on Netflix until November 1.
“I’ve loved Barbie since I was a kid, so it’s so special to be a part of a Barbie family Barbie Mystery: The Great Racetrack Soundtrack,” Sparks said. “‘Glittering’ is a fun, upbeat song designed to give young audiences confidence, and I’m excited that it will be loved by a whole new generation of Barbie fans.”
Next month, the whole family can enjoy new episodes and fun songs on Netflix. Until then, you can stream Sparkle on a variety of streaming platforms!
