Today, Paramount+ released a tantalizing trailer for Lioness Season 2 along with a premiere date.
If the title looks truncated, you’re right. The series, originally titled Spec Ops: Lioness, is back under a new title. Just a lioness. Very suitable.

Lioness has a star-studded cast, including series star and executive producer Zoe Saldaña, Lesla de Oliveira, Genesis Rodriguez and Emmy nominees Michael Kelly, along with Academy Award winner Morgan Freeman and Oscar and Emmy Award winner and executive producer Nicole Kidman.
The series is produced exclusively for Paramount+ by MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios.
In Season 2, as the CIA’s war on terror draws ever closer, Joe (Saldanha), Caitlin (Kidman) and Byron (Kelly) recruit a new Agent Lioness comes to infiltrate a previously unknown threat.
As pressure mounts from all sides, Jo is forced to confront the enormous personal sacrifice she has made as the leader of Project Lioness.
The trailer, seen below, is a pressure cooker that suggests there may not be enough love for country to keep the program thriving when things are falling apart before their eyes.
