One of the projects on display at this weekend’s D23 conference is a sequel to the hit 2003 comedy Blame Friday.
The film received its official title, Weirder Fridayand the stars in the movie, Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohanseemingly showing some love to fans and teasing a bit about the next movie.
“It’s more fun, it’s more emotional, and it’s all for you,” Lohan told the Honda Center audience at the Disney Entertainment Showcase. “Seriously, the only reason we’re back here to do this is because of you. Love. So. It feels like picking up right where we left off, which is really beautiful,” Curtis added. “
As they spoke, a number of behind-the-scenes photos were displayed on the big screen, including a recreation of the iconic moment in the original film when mother and daughter Lohan and Curtis realize they’ve swapped bodies.
Lohan and Curtis to return as co-stars Mark Harmon, Chad Michael Murray, Christina Vidal Mitchell, haley hudson, Lucille Song, Stephen Tobolowsky and Ms. Zhao.
Newcomers include Sophia Hammons, Maitri Ramakrishnanand Jordan E. Cooper.

Weirder Friday It will be released in theaters nationwide in 2025.
