Lincoln has made significant changes to the largest vehicle in its lineup, adding a panoramic display to the dashboard. The 2025 Navigator SUV is the automaker’s second vehicle to feature the Ford-developed Android-based digital dashboard, which first appeared on the 2024 Lincoln Nautilus.
The new Navigator, which will debut during Monterey Car Week, takes the Nautilus Panoramic Display (technically, it’s two screens) and Lincoln Digital Experience and blends them into a sleeker and more open style, with added side panels. Contrasting speakers. Meanwhile, the same continuous curved display on the Nautilus stretches from pillar to pillar to look more integrated, and its trim lines up with the doors.
Anika Salceda-Wycoco, Lincoln communications manager, said the Navigator and Nautilus have the same functionality. However, the Navigator has a new entertainment feature called Pano Mode, which Salceda-Wycoco says “introduces video streaming and gaming capabilities to both sides of the 48-inch panoramic display.”
Surprisingly, there’s no panorama mode in the Nautilus, which can only play games and movies on the smaller central touchscreen – but that may change. “We’re talking about it on Navigator first and will share more in the future,” Salceda-Wycoco said. The Navigator is also the first vehicle to receive Lincoln’s “Rejuvenate Mode” spa experience, which was announced at the 2024 Nautilus but did not materialize at launch.
Rejuvenate mode adds sounds and sights like the Northern Lights to the screen, adjusts the chair back, turns on the massager and heater, and sprays air freshener scent so you can take a five or 10-minute break. Salceda-Wycoco said the 2025 Nautilus will also get the feature at launch, and Lincoln will “share more information about timing soon” on the 2024 model year. The experience will also come with a one-year free subscription.
Hop into the Navigator’s middle row and you’ll find the option of adjustable captain’s chairs with many of the features of the front row (including a massager), two entertainment touch screens, and a 5.8-inch screen for air conditioning and central controls. Past the fold-down third-row seats, there’s a split tailgate that opens as you approach.
The Navigator’s exterior also gets some new looks, with an updated dashboard that looks more in line with the new Nautilus, including a light bar across the middle. Unfortunately, Navigator doesn’t get any improvements under the hood this year. It’s still a big gas truck with a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine, and there’s no hybrid option like the Nautilus.
Lincoln said it plans to launch three new all-electric vehicles by 2025 and a fourth by 2026.
