“Lilith was originally developed to treat my obsessive-compulsive disorder and some past trauma that seared my heart,” Howell said in a July interview. “At first it was just an illustration of a dark-haired woman who either slaughtered her enemies or ate her scornful lovers, thus sending her into a spiral of cannibal madness. But over time, as I drew More and more, her personality started to take shape – this demonic creature lady that eats anyone who pisses her off. I have to thank my friend Sasha for coming up with this one day when we were brainstorming on Discord. The name “Lilith”. I began to see her as an outcast in the eyes of those she once trusted, and we follow her story as she picks up the pieces, similar to the trauma I experienced.
