Life is Strange: Double Exposureof Expensive “early access” period Starting yesterday (October 15th), people can play the first two episodes of the game ahead of its full release on October 29th. Fans of the series. Love story from the original game The story of time-traveling protagonist Max Caulfield and her punk best friend Chloe Price. Spoilers ahead.

In a scene from the first episode double exposureMax, who is in college, is sitting in a diner with her friend Safie. Max has been mysterious about her new friend, so Safi grills her about her past and demands some answers. This is the part where the player decides Which one is the original life is strange The ending is a “classic” to themand the essence that cemented Max and Chloe’s relationship. Are they best friends or high school sweethearts? It’s up to you to decide, but it looks like there’s no version of events where Max and Chloe are still together, Chloe either dies at the end of the first game, or the two girls break up.
In a vacuum, this development might make sense. People grow apart, especially high school friends and significant others. But considering what Max and Chloe went through for the first time together life is strangefans were uncomfortable with their relationship being abandoned off-screen.
The reason Chloe left Max was apparently because the time-traveling photographer couldn’t move on from the events of the first game. This is part of Max’s arc double exposureas she vowed never to use her time-reversing powers again after the disastrous consequences. According to a letter players can find, Max seems to be dealing with a lot of trauma from her past, even from many years in the future, and her inability to move on if Chloe is still alive is what caused the relationship to break down. Not that this explanation will satisfy everyone.
Ultimately, we still don’t know if Chloe’s character double exposure Just a dialogue option and a postcard since the full game isn’t out yet. But considering how much of a revelation this is to long-time fans, I have to wonder if releasing the sequel in installments is the smartest choice. If Chloe did show up and things were different at the end of the game, I think some fans would be more willing to sit back and examine this development. Or maybe this reveal makes more sense in the context of the entire game. I’ll pass judgment until I see the end of the game, but I’m not surprised that fans weren’t excited to find out these characters were so different from where they left off. We’ll know more when the rest of the game launches on October 29th.
