I don’t have the money or space to buy all my favorite LEGO sets, but I’d love to splurge on the bricks X-Men Luxury homes coming soon X-Men ’97 on Disney+ Rekindled my spandex-covered mutant imagination. Maybe not $330, but close!
The latest luxury licensed LEGO sets Showcasing Charles Xavier’s school for gifted and talented, a multi-story mansion, and a cast of X-Men heroes and villains including Wolverine, Jean Grey, Magneto and the Giant Sentinel. This 3,093-piece set is basically a ’90s Marvel nerd’s dollhouse. Even though it’s more expensive than the Nintendo Switch, there are some nifty exclusives included in the bundle.
That is a collection of 10 very nice mini figures:
- Iceman
- Gene Gray
- Strategy
- bishop
- rogue
- Wolverine
- storm
- Cyclops
- Magneto
- Professor X
Charles’ yellow levitating chair is a nice touch, and the detail on the figure is surprisingly good. The set itself opens up and contains several modular sections, including Jean Grey’s lab and the danger room. The sentries then attack the school from outside. There doesn’t appear to be any exploding wall mechanic, but I’m sure some enterprising fan can design his or her own with the right parts.
The set will be available to Lego Insiders on the LEGO website on November 1st, and to everyone else on November 4th. It’s the latest in a series of Marvel-inspired series including Not as good as the stunning Blackbird jet. Unfortunately, the new mansion doesn’t have the beast either. The only way to get blue geniuses is through minifigure packs, which are basically random loot boxes.
