The LEGO Group’s latest creative sets are designed for young fans of Tim Burton’s classics.
The nightmare before christmas is a beloved Disney movie that fans rewatch during Christmas and Halloween. Now, it’s launching its own LEGO sets for the fall. One of the newest additions to the Ideas series is a set of buildable, display-worthy dioramas inspired by Tim Burton films.
The LEGO Ideas Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas set contains 2,193 pieces and includes three models of different locations from the movie: Spiral Mountain, Jack Skellington’s house and Halloween Town Hall. The set also includes eight minifigure characters: Skeleton Jack, Sally, Santa Claus, Locke, Shock, Bucket and Zero the Dog, as well as a two-faced brick figure of the Mayor.
Simon Scott from the UK designed the new set for the LEGO Ideas platform and received the required 10,000 votes. LEGO Ideas invites fans of the brand to submit their own LEGO creations in hopes of seeing them turned into actual sets for the company. The platform has produced a number of licensed sets, including the upcoming The Twilight Saga: Cullen House set, which was inspired by the film great white shark,etc.
The LEGO Ideas Disney Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas set will be launched to LEGO Insiders on September 3, and in LEGO stores and major retailers on September 6. The set retails for $199.99.
