Legacy of Kain’s Souls Raiders 1 and 2 Remastered briefly appeared on the PlayStation Store, seemingly confirming a leak that occurred this summer when the two games were mentioned on the base of a statue at San Diego Comic-Con The remastered version.
The branding was quickly removed, but it was too late as fans around the world (myself included) were excited at the idea that Kane and Raziel might return in remastered form.

It now appears that the leak was legitimate. The remake appears on PSN with screenshots, a trailer and a December 10th release date. The most likely explanation is that it was accidentally uploaded to the PlayStation Network ahead of today’s official release of State of Play. If recent rumors are true, remasters of Horizon Zero Dawn and Days Gone are also likely to appear at the event.
The listing clearly states that it will include the first two games, excluding the third. It’s an odd choice, especially since the second game ends on a huge cliffhanger. To me it would make more sense to do the entire trilogy, but maybe they want to delay it to release it separately.
On the X, Wario64 managed to catch the trailer and screenshots before they were deleted. More screenshots can be found on Resetera, which also mentions Aspyr as the developer.
The hope, of course, is that if the remake proves successful, it could pave the way for a proper sequel or some form of reboot. I know I wasted countless hours playing Soul Reveal on PlayStation, and it’s great to see the universe being brought back.
