If you’re excited about Linkin Park’s return and are still grinding your way through League of Legends’ 2AM ranked games, you’ll probably be happy to hear that those two interests are colliding tomorrow. This is thanks to the band’s composition of this year’s World Finals theme song.
Announced via multiple Riot Games platforms, including Twitter, a trailer for the song and music video has now been released. Like Riot’s previous music videos, it will be fully animated and themed around Runeterra and the wider Alliance cannon. There might even be a big trophy – who knows!

For those who are more of a League fan than a musical side, Linkin Park is a hugely popular band that recently made a comeback with a new lead singer. With the new album in the works, it seems the band also had time to write and perform a new song for Riot Games. There’s no word yet on what the song will actually sound like, but considering previous contributions from artists like Lil Nas X and Imagine Dragons, it’s expected to have a track that matches the artist’s typical output. This is definitely a good thing if you like the band.
If this excites you, tune into the League of Legends YouTube channel on September 24th at 8am PT to hear the song. Then, if you wish, you can prepare for the World Championships themselves, which will begin this fall and culminate with the finals in November.
