If you’ve seen Laurence Fishburne’s filmography, you can’t help but notice an impressive array of science fiction works: The Hack And of course there’s the trilogy predator, man of Steel, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Glider, Ant-Man and the Wasp, signal, colony, event horizon…and that’s without even mentioning his latest and upcoming projects, including Transformers One, slingshot, Megacityand astronaut. Of course, he’s also known for drama and is an Oscar nominee, but it’s clear that Fishburne is a sci-fi fan — and in a new interview, he traces the depth of his love for the genre.
Fishburne excitedly admitted in an interview with Variety that “I love Transformers” and “[sci-fi] One of my favorite genres” – asked where his sci-fi fandom began. “It’s simple: I’m a product of my time,” he told Insider. “I was born in 1961. Where do you think I fell in love with science fiction? I fell in love with science fiction on TV. There used to be a little show called StarCraftwhich was the first American television show to have a diverse, multiracial crew, so I could turn on StarCraft And see people who look like me in space in the future.
He goes on to share more trek Love and other favorites. “The show has a lot of guest stars, like the great William Marshall who plays Dr. Richard Daystrom. He’s a brilliant scientist who built this amazing, sentient computer. .There are so many people, and that’s where my first love of sci-fi started. Star Wars. I like planet of the apes. I like weird movies, like a little David Bowie movie The man who fell to earthwhich is one of my favorite movies. Soy green is a great one too Omega Man”.
