Kosmos will launch five new games at Gen Con this weekend in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The Gang is a cooperative poker game based on Texas Hold’em. Players must use limited communication to work together to rank their cards from weakest to strongest in order to open the bank vault. If their hands are not aligned correctly, an alarm is triggered. To win, the group of players must crack three vaults without triggering three alarms. There are also mini-expansions for the game, including Joker Cards and other variations, which are free with purchase.
Crime Masters is the latest game series from Kosmos, where players take on the role of a criminal mastermind, sifting through evidence, clues and puzzles to gain control of the world of corruption. These games integrate real-world resources, including Google Maps, phone numbers, websites, and more. The first two editions of Crime Masters – Vendetta and Shadows – will be available at Gen Con.
Kosmos also launched three other games at the show: Nunatak, a strategy game in which players collect resources and place ice blocks to build a temple to the gods; and Belratti, a co-op party game in which players stop art forgeries smugglers smuggle fake paintings into galleries; Dodo is a children’s memory game in which players guide wobbly eggs down a hill by building bridges.
“Our goal every Gen Con is to provide a unique, exciting experience for die-hard fans of Kosmos and tabletop gaming,” said Andrew Quartin, CEO of Thames & Kosmos. “One way we do this is by adapting our schedule so that we always have a timely release for the major releases. This year, we have five of them shipped straight from the factory to the convention, which is going to be a show like no other and we can’t wait. Want to share these incredible games with such a loyal and passionate community of gamers.
Kosmos also brings all four new versions of EXIT: The Game, including Academy of Magic, Amsterdam Hunt, Prison Break, and Monster Village Mystery, as well as more than 30 previous EXIT games.
Kosmos will be on display at booth 2619 from August 1st to 4th. All games at the Kosmos booth are 10% off at the show, while supplies last.
