Korean Cheerleader Movie victory Heading to American cinemas soon. Ahead of its upcoming release in South Korea, the film was pre-sold to 815 Pictures by Seoul-based sales company Finecut for a theatrical release in North America.
Described as “an uplifting, heartwarming drama centered around a high school dance group,” the film follows cheerleaders as they inspire an underdog school football team and surrounding villages on a remote island in South Korea. Directed by Park Beom-soo, for singles in seoul and red carpetThe film premiered as the opening film at the recent New York Asian Film Festival, where one of its stars, Lee Hye-ri, won the event’s Asian Screen International Rising Star Award.
Finecut has also signed cooperation agreements for the film with various companies across Asia, including Sky Films Entertainment in Taiwan; Lumix Media in Vietnam; PT Prima Cinema Multimedia in Indonesia; House of M Thailand; video entertainment with an emphasis on in-flight distribution; and Westec Media Limited in Cambodia.
victory It will be released in North America on August 16th, shortly after being released in South Korea on August 14th. Finecut said additional Asian release dates will be spread across August and September.
The remaining actors include: Park Se-wan (life is beautiful) serves as the other member of the dance duo; Cao Yalan (TV series Thanks), a former member of the Seoul cheerleading squad who moved to the village; and Lee Jung-ha (Disney+ hit move), playing the role of the goalkeeper of the school football team that always fails.
