Time Difference Authority is under new management! This December, check out the adventures of the agency responsible for maintaining TVA’s timestream! Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and Marvel Comics Editor-in-Chief CB Cebulski just announced at the Marvel Promotional Panel at San Diego Comic-Con that TVA will be a five-issue limited comic series written by Marvel writers Marvel Studios’ Loki writer Catherine Blair Drawn by famous Marvel artists Pere Perez (massacre, Spider-Man: Edge of the Universe).
The series will represent an evolution of the Marvel Comics version of TVA as it merges with its Marvel Cinematic Universe counterparts, as seen in the Disney+ series Loki series and Deadpool and Wolverine. The series will mark the debut of various MCU characters from Marvel Comics, including Breakthrough Loki Miss Star Minute. The mysterious omniscient entity that keeps the TVA running like clockwork will recruit a new group of heroes tasked with monitoring and managing all realities and timelines.
Join Ghost Spider and other universe-displaced entities, including Captain Carter, the heartbroken Remy LeBeau, and more, as they are sent across the multiverse on an important mission to repair wild temporal anomalies and prevent reality itself from shattering!
“I love the idea,” Fitch shared. “For us, seeing our work in comics is just as cool as bringing the work of comic creators to the big screen.”
If that’s not all, here’s a transcript of what happened at the group meeting written by Beau Q.
- Iron Man makes his debut in “Tales of Suspense”, followed by Iron Man’s first suit scene (these cuts are so loud that fans get a little uneasy between cuts)
2. Captain America beating Hitler cover, followed by a montage of Captain America beating Hitler from Captain America: Episode I.
3. The shield-bashing scene between Captain America and Tony in “Civil War”, followed by the final battle in “Capt AM Civil War”
4. Thanos snaps his fingers in “Infinity War”, followed by the scene where Thanos finally assembles the Infinity Gauntlet and SNAP
The comic will feature characters from the Rocky TV show, with art by Pepe Larraz. CB then moved on to the F4 promo, showing off 5 classic F4 covers before a large Q&A with fans.
Overall: CB and Feige have found multiple ways to further the MCU’s relationship with Marvel Publishing, constantly influencing each other, which at worst can make their relationship an echo chamber.
CB, a fan of Easter eggs, also found a few hints throughout: an Erica Morbius poster in an old photo of him, a painting of Feige wearing an F4 badge, and Feige’s Ray Electric ball cap.
